Verga Fire Company is an all-volunteer company that covers the Verga section and northeast side of West Deptford, as well as the rest of the township in tandem with the West Deptford's other three fire companies. Verga maintains a brush fire fighting truck and a marine unit in addition to its engine, ladder and heavy rescue trucks. The current chief is Jeff Bilger and assistant chiefs are Jim Miller and Nick Porreca.
