Founded in 1947 by a group of dedicated parents, The Arc of Essex County is a non-profit organization providing services to children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
The Arc runs more than 40 programs for all ages, from infants to senior citizens, that are geared toward promoting a fuller and more independent lifestyle. Programs include residential programs, individually tailored work programs for adults, senior citizen activities, Camp Hope, a summer camp, Early Intervention services and the Stepping Stones school located in Roseland.
