History
As far as I can remember I have been working with honey bees. When I was younger, in France, I watched my great uncle work the bees. When he passed away, helped by my aunt, I took over and tried to expand the number of colonies but the lack of allowance discouraged my endeavor. For a long time, I lived in Paris then we came to the US and decided that we wanted to live here. Bea and I decided to have one bee hive for fun. Our son Archie joined us but was not too enthusiastic about the fact that bees could sting. Some of our friends thought that we were (and still are) mentally disturbed for having so many stinging insects around our house. The first year, we took good care of our bees and they worked very hard so much that we harvested 75 lb of pure honey. We ate some, bottled some, gave some to friends and neighbors, and we still had 70lb left when Bea decided to sell it at the nearby farm stand and general store. In a week the honey was gone, and Tassot Apiaries, Inc. was created.
