Stephen McKenzie, PA-C is a member of Summit Health's Cardiology team. Mr. McKenzie is best positioned to help patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular disease and has special interest in disease prevention, including treatment of hypertension and elevated cholesterol. He finds satisfaction in working with all patients but especially enjoys being able to help individuals suffering from intellectual disabilities. Mr. McKenzies approach to care is to treat every patient as he would a member of his own family. He strongly believes in evidence based medical practices that are geared toward an individuals specific needs and values.Prior to joining Summit Health, Mr. McKenzie served as a Physician Assistant at Morristown Emergency Medicine Associates at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Army Physician Assistants.Mr. McKenzie is a proud to be a Physician Assistant who has served in the military and many of his weekends are still devoted to military related duties. He is a happy husband and father of two boys, with the youngest following in his footsteps, studying to become a medical assistant. He looks forward to welcoming his first grandchild soon! In his spare time, Mr. McKenzie studies theology at the Seton Hall seminary and in his spare time is active in his local church.
