Bishop Janes United Methodist Church states in its mission that “visitors are not only welcome—they are expected,” and opens its arms to its community. Bishop Janes aids its members in connecting to not only the church but to the community as a whole. The church offers multiple categories of ministries for its members—women, men, family, children—and within each category are different programs that unite the members in their common goal to “grow in their relationship with God and one another so that all may experience the fullness of Christian life.” Bishop Janes also offers five different music programs as well as mission opportunities and community outreach programs.The church, in addition to serving as a place of worship, has a childcare facility called Little Lambs. Little Lambs is a New Jersey certified child-care center for all Basking Ridge children ages 18 months to three years.
