Based in Camden, N.J., South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources is a nonprofit community mental health center that offers a variety of mental health services and serves more than 3,000 individuals with mental illness each year. Founded in 1980, it offers a wide variety of behavioral health and human services, including outpatient, adult partial care, addictions counseling, education and services to the homeless mentally ill. The center s outpatient mental health services include individual, group and family psychotherapy, marriage counseling, psychiatric evaluation, medication monitoring, and assessment and referral. It offers a day treatment, psychological rehabilitation program that helps clients with serious and persistent mental illness. The center offers partial care and residential services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals by professionals trained in American Sign Language.
