The Somerset County Recycling Center is a part of the Public Works Department, which is operated by the Borough of Somerville in New Jersey. The center collects and stocks various recyclable items, such as newspapers, magazines, junk mails, corrugated cardboards, household batteries, phone books, glass and plastic bottles, jars and antifreeze aluminum cans, textiles, passenger tires, used oil and oil filters. The Public Works Department maintains streets, parks, public facilities and sanitary sewer systems in the county. In addition, the department provides street sweeping and sanitation and snow removal services.
