WSOU is New Jersey's top-rated college radio station and it's entirely student-run, with the exception of General Manager Mark Maben and Chief Engineer Frank Scafidi. About 100 Seton Hall students work on WSOU, which turned 60 in April.
The website streams live and the request line is open 24 hours a day. The sports department maintains its own blog. The music format is modern, active rock. During basketball season from November to February, the sports department broadcasts every men's basketball game and 70 percent of the women's games. WSOU has a second channel dedicated to Catholic programming for HD radios.
