Salvation Army is a Christian faith-based human services organization that offers a number of programs. With locations throughout Newark, the Newark Ironbound Corps Community Center branch provides military personnel assistance, community recreation and education programs, bible study, music and arts programs, disaster services, youth activities, and a worship center. It is headed by Joaquin and Kathleen S. Calvo, as well as Michael Davis.
