The corner lot between Forest and Bloomfield Ave. where the church now stands was purchased in 1848 for $200. The actual building was built in 1850 at a time when the church was composed of only a few families. First Baptist Church of Caldwell went through its first major change in 1913, when an addition was built. The First Baptist Church of Caldwell is participating again in the Master Clubs ministry. The purpose of Master Clubs is to evangelize children, discipling them toward spiritual growth, teaching and training them to serve Jesus Christ and providing multiple opportunities to do so through the local church.
