The River Edge Volunteer Ambulance Service (REVAS) was officially incorporated in 1949 and began responding to calls from the 9,000 residents in the borough on June 1. Since then, REVAS has expanded as a full squad with 42 members, 32 of which actively respond to calls for the now 11,000 residents in town.
For those interested in volunteering, REVAS offers free EMT and CPR training. The squad's building is located next to Veteran's Memorial Park and not far from the River Edge Library and Roosevelt School.
