Hi, I am Mel Parker, owner of Perfect 4 You Personal Training. All my life I have been an athlete, but early on I was unaware of the benefits of weight training as a complement to any healthy lifestyle. One day while playing a pick-up game, I tore my Achilles tendon. I was 43 years old, and I knew the healing process for such an injury was going to be more difficult due to my age. At the time one of my friends, Ortho Davis, former head trainer of the Philadelphia Eagles, suggested that I do my rehab at the Vet. At the same time Randall Cunningham, a good friend of mine, was rehabbing his knee. He suggested one day that we go to the weight room. From that day, I fell in love with lifting and been weight training ever since. I wanted to share the benefits and education of a healthy lifestyle. Perfect 4 You was established in 2009 and has recently been named One of South Jersey Best 2011.
