Established in 1947, Passaic County Elks Cerebral Palsy Treatment Center is a private, nonprofit organization providing various rehabilitation services to children with special needs. It offers educational, therapeutic, medical, vocational and social programs and facilities for adults and preschool, elementary and high school students. It offers a wide range of programs, such as behavior management, family life, and physical and health education programs. It also provides social services, instructional guides, interdisciplinary therapy, music and orthopedic, orthotonic and physiatry clinics. It additionally offers computer access and communications laboratories. Its adult training center offers training in independent living and work skills. Additionally, it offers physical, occupational and speech therapies, sensory integration, employment opportunities and continuing adult education programs. It is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and is licensed by various state and local agencies, including the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities and the Council for Exceptional Children. Located in Clifton, N.J., it also sponsors various activities, such as poster contests, anti-drug programs and hoop shoot.
