The Police Department is governed by the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills in New Jersey. The department employs a staff of more than 100 people. It has an over 33,000-square-foot building. The department features a garage, private interview rooms, and evidence and storage lockers. The Police Department also handles criminal-delinquent and family crisis matters. The department manages a patrol division that arrests offenders and responds to emergency medical situations, as well as offers crime prevention and traffic control services. Its support services division is responsible for the maintenance and control of documents and computer files generated by other divisions. In addition, the department operates the D.A.R.E. Program. Its planning and research section coordinates and conducts home security and business surveys. The Police Department additionally manages professional standards and investigative divisions.
