The New Jersey Bureau of Securities is a part of the Office of the Attorney General of the Department of Law & Public Safety, which is operated by the government of the State of New Jersey. The bureau, also known ad BOS, is the state s securities regulatory agency. It administers the New Jersey Uniform Securities Law. The bureau also regulates brokerage firms, mutual funds and unit investment trusts, as well as agents of security issuers. The New Jersey Bureau of Securities assists with the resolution of investor complaints. The bureau participates in the Central Registration Depository. The New Jersey Bureau of Securities maintains field examination and investigation teams.
