New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants is a nonprofit business organization that is comprised of more than 14,500 certified public accountants. Founded in 1898, it is one of the largest and oldest state public accountant societies in the United States. The society provides members with a range of opportunities for volunteer involvement and professional development. New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants focuses on various areas, such as accounting, taxes and legislation, sports and entertainment, human resources and community affairs. It has a more than 30 member board of officers and trustees. The society maintains an education foundation that has a broad curriculum that addresses current issues and trends, as well as utilizes committees and chapters to provide education, information and assistance to members. New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants maintains its administrative headquarters in Roseland, N.J.
