This is the chief law enforcement agency of Morris County. The prosecutor is appointed to a five-year term by the governor and is responsible for setting policy and direction for law enforcement in the county. The agency's staff includes investigators, assistant prosecutors and support staff. Units within the Prosecutor's Office include Major Crimes, Domestic Violence, Megan's Law, Sex Crimes/Child Abuse, Juvenile/Missing Persons, Special Enforcement, Victim Services, Trial Teams and Fraud/Confidential. The office also has an active community outreach program, developed by current County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi, to help the law enforcement community work together with Morristown citizens to promote a safe and secure environment.
