History
Miss Audrey came to the US from England in 1962. She started sewing in a shoe shop in 1963 and built her own business from starting there. She now currently owns Miss Audrey's Human Connection and does all the sewing and alterations. The Human Connection is also a thrift store, furniture store, and has a notary, and paralegal service in the store. We also accept furniture vouchers and will soon be doing document and computer services such as resume writing, printing, copying, faxing, etc.
Specialties
We are a non-profit thrift store and alteration shop. We operate by accepting donations such as clothing, shoes, furniture, household goods, etc, either by drop off or pick up then selling the items at a discounted price. Any proceeds received from the sales are then donated to the Atlantic City Business and Community Association and are used to help make Atlantic City a better place. The alterations are the cheapest in the city and are done by Miss Audrey herself whom has been doing such for the last 50 years.
