An historic burial site dating to 1888, Maplewood Cemetery covers more than 40 acres. It offers in-ground burial with upright or lawn-level markers, indoor or outdoor cremation niches and a chapel mausoleum. The mausoleum's simple walls of polished stone are interrupted by a dramatic entrance that is a modern interpretation of a classical temple front. Inside, visitors to the mausoleum chapel have a formal space in which to meditate and pay tribute. Square memorial plaques on the façade can be engraved with the name of the deceased. The Maplewood Cemetery office is near the mausoleum.
