Established in 1999, Liberty High School offers a range of academic and extracurricular options to more than 180 students in grades 9 through 12. It employs over 20 staff members, as well as maintains a library and media center. The school offers a breakfast and lunch menu that features Italian bread, pizzas, salads, fruits and dinner rolls. Its curriculum includes reading, history, math, art, science and English. Liberty High School also administers the Title I program. It organizes a variety of events, including the celebration of the accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Shakespeare festival. In addition, the school sponsors the National Honor Society and operates a student council. Located in Jersey City, N.J., the school is a part of Jersey City Public Schools, which governs various elementary, middle and high schools. In addition, the school district serves nearly 28,000 students and employs approximately 3,000 staff members.
