The Highland Community Church is a non-denominational church started by a group based in Galloway, but pastored by a member of Village Missions, a group that matches pastors with parishes in need but has no further control over the church. Highland was established in 1967, and the church's first pastor built the house next to the church in which the five pastors since have resided. The church holds a day camp the final week of July for those in third through seventh grades.
