History
Guido Colamarino, owner of Guido's Piano Service (GPS) is a third generation craftsman. He has been working as a piano tuner/technician for over 35 years. In the late 1970s, after a lengthy internship under the guidance of a master piano craftsman, he slowly developed his business in Brooklyn, NY. GPS was awarded the contract for tuning and maintaining the pianos for the Board of Education, District #1, which included the five boroughs of the City. Soon after, GPS secured work for NBC Studios in Brooklyn, NY. Referrals (mainly by word-of-mouth) continued and over the years GPS had over 500 active customers. In 2002 the company moved to Robbinsville, NJ. While continuing to service NYC customers, the business now included Mercer County, as well. In 2006, GPS was awarded contracts for several cruise lines including: Cunard Line (Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and the now retired QE2 (permanently docked at Dubai), Princess Line and Holland America.
