The Fred Astaire Dance Studio tradition got its start on New York City's Park Avenue in 1947, when Fred Astaire, recognized as the greatest multitalented dancer of all time, created an interrelated dance curriculum for the first Fred Astaire Dance Studio. The company has expanded internationally and continues to uphold the basic principles of dance instruction. Teaching students in Manasquan, along with the help of a friendly staff that creates a comfortable atmosphere for learning dance routines, the studio prepares guests for special events and also allows them to enjoy quality time with partners or friends, gain self confidence or compete professionally. The studio teaches salsa, swing, rumba, tango and much more.
