First Presbyterian & Trinity is at the intersection of South Orange and Irvington avenues. The oldest part of the church (at that intersection) was built in 1881 and it's being used for worship services since 1882. Behind the sanctuary is a parish hall, which was built about a decade later.
The older brick building that parallels the parking lot on South Orange Avenue is the education building, built in the late '20s. It's where the weekday nursery school is located. The newest wing on the Irvington Avenue side of the education building was built in the late '50s.
The organ in the sanctuary is a pipe and digital hybrid.
There's church school for children in pre-K through sixth grade and youth group for children in grades 7-12.
Charles Thompson is the pastor.
Alcoholic Anonymous meetings are also held at the church.
