This Presbyterian church has weekly services and offers children's religious education classes, music programs and various fellowship groups. The seeds of what would become the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood were planted in 1823 when 27 people left the local Dutch Reformed Church and formed a new church. They petitioned the Presbyterian Church in 1899 to become the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood. The church now has a congregation of more than 500 parishioners.
