It all started with Duke's father Tommy, who was an ice cream distributor in Piscataway, New Jersey while Duke was growing up. When Duke turned 17, he bought an ice cream truck and started his local neighborhood routes. After a few years, he followed in his father's foot steps and started Dukes Ice Cream Co.
