Dr. Dave graduated from Rutgers and then received his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Med. School. He specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehab at Thomas Jefferson Univ. He studied Trigger Point Needling with Dr. Chan Gunn, MD which is the cornerstone of his treatment approach today. His varied and broad knowledge and experience, lets Dr. Dave treat chronic pain patients by using the body's own healing mechanisms based upon biological principals. Trigger Point Needling was developed by as an alternative way to treat chronic pain without using drugs. Dr. Kim has used this treatment in his own practice for over 20 years. Trigger Point Needling uses very thin muscles to break up muscle tension and spasms. Unlike acupuncture, Trigger Point Needling goes into the deeper layers of muscle where most of the problems are. In addition, a medical degree is necessary to perform this procedure because it is considered a specialty medical procedure, and it is covered by most insurance.
