The Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge has been marked a historical site by the Presbyterian Historical Society of Philadelphia, PA. The church was first built in 1717, and after many rebuilds and alterations has remained unchanged in arrangement since 1960. The historical cemetery adjacent to the building has been in use since the 18th century, with the oldest tombstone dating to 1736.
The church offers two services each Sunday with childcare throughout the morning. The later service ends with a coffee hour to bring the congregation from a formal to a more relaxed setting. If you happen to miss a service, you have the option of listening to the Pastor, Rev. Dennis Jones’s sermons on the church’s Web site.
