The American Red Cross Millburn-Short Hills Chapter holds monthly blood drives, participates in the town's Meals on Wheels program, offers courses in CPR and first aid and operates the town's emergency shelter if it's needed. There is also a food pantry at the chapter's building and they collect clothing.
In the event of a fire, the chapter will assist homeowners if they need a place to stay or clothing to wear. Additionally, the chapter works with the town's emergency management team. The chapter holds an annual CPR and AED training at Millburn High School. The event is free and over 200 people normally attend. The event is sponsored by the Danielle Brender Fund. Each year the chapter holds a 5K race in December and a wine tasting in March to raise funds.
