HistoryJerry and Jasper Walker founded Team Walker in 1996 in an effort to keep the tradition of community service passed down through generations of the Walker family. The Walkers' inspiration and guide is their grandfather, who dedicated his life to making his neighborhood in Jersey City a great place to live. Team Walker seeks to carry out that legacy by providing Jersey City children with better opportunities to participate in afterschool activities and programs and have the same positive experiences that Jerry and his brother had while growing up.
