Advent Lutheran Church was formed in 1996, when the then-nearly 30-year-old Epiphany Lutheran Church merged with the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Basking Ridge. The congregation has grown to include members from Bridgewater to New Providence. The church is active in the community, offering support to the Somerset Food Bank and comfort to those in local hospitals and seniors homes. The church members also support the Lutheran Social Ministries and Lutheran World Relief programs. Services are held every Sunday, with church school classes at 9am and worship at 10am. Visitors are welcome to join and stay for a coffee hour following the service.
