Established in 1888, Hanover High School is a part of the Dresden School District. It is a public school approved by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It offers courses in computers, health, technical education, media studies, music, physical education, science, history, language and drama. Its industrial department provides courses in architectural drafting; consumer auto and power mechanics; engineering design; metal fabrication and woodworking. Additionally, it offers applied physics, genetics and evolution, environmental science, chemistry, biology and methods in science programs. It also provides courses in English, math, foreign languages and social studies. The school organizes various sports programs, such as baseball, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball, cross country and skiing, and provides ropes and climbing wall courses. The school has music ensembles, publications, community service organizations, drama and theater groups, and debate and quiz teams. The school is located in Hanover, N.H.
