Sierra Nevada College, founded in 1969, is a private residential four-year liberal arts college. It is located in Incline Village, Nev., and is known for its programs in entrepreneurship, environmental science, English, teacher education, and ski business and resort management. The college offers baccalaureate degrees in arts, humanities and social science, international studies, management, and science and technology. It also offers teacher education programs for elementary and secondary grades, as well as continuing education programs, summer arts program and several courses at satellite centers in Nevada. Its colors are royal blue and white and its mascot is the American eagle. Sierra Nevada College is approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. It also provides financial aid to eligible students.
