History
Founded by Noah Chubb-Silverman, Joseph Kyle Kozar, and with the help of countless others, Reno Bike Project (RBP) has grown from basement bike repair to a full-time cycling community center. RBP was incorporated in December 2006 and received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in June 2008. RBP strives to transform the greater Reno area into a great American cycling community. The organization is built around the belief that the bicycle is the world's greatest, most-utilized mode of transportation and that every individual, regardless of age, gender, race, or class, has the right to afford, maintain, and enjoy one. Further, RBP believes that the bicycle is a focal point for cultural and economic growth, capable of inspiring innovation and societal change. RBP believes that strong community partnerships build strong communities and encourages cooperation among all demographics to celebrate the bicycle as a hallmark of enjoyment and sustainable living.
