Chef Flemming Pedersen has been baking for over 40 years. Originally from Denmark, he has worked around the United States and settled in Henderson in the early 1980's. He has worked in over 7 of Las Vegas finest hotels, including at the Golden Nugget , where he was Executive Pastry Chef for 16 years. Chef Flemming also taught at the Art & Culinary Institute for 7 years, before opening up his own BakeShop in downtown Henderson in the Water Street District.

Our story starts in Denmark where Chef Flemming launched his career as an artisanal baker -- a career that has since become an international legacy. After offering his talents to nine high-end luxury hotels and offering expert instruction to budding pastry chefs at the Art Institute in Las Vegas, Chef Flemming chose to fulfill his lifelong dream of baking for a local community. That dream opened its doors in 2008, and our BakeShop here on Henderson has been doling out delicious, warm, fresh-baked goodness ever since. As a small family shop, we take a personalized approach to creating the pastries and specialty cakes we make from scratch every day. Whether you're looking for an intricate dessert for an event or a pick-me-up on your way to work, we have everything you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.
