Founded in 1968 as Catalina Plastic Suppliers, Catalina Graphic Films started as a distributor of plastic sheets and films. In 1972, the company purchased its first coating line and became Catalina Plastics & Coating Corporation. At that time, Catalina's primary business was the distribution of plastic sheet and film and manufacturing of pressure sensitive materials. With more than 30 years in business, Catalina chose to change its name to reflect the corporate focus. Catalina Graphic Films defines its industry niche as primarily a manufacturer of pressure sensitive films for the printing industry. The Company's philosophy is to provide products while maintaining its customer service. Catalina Graphic Films evolves by producing products for technologies and applications. The company is one of the leaders in window graphic films such as Clear-Ad, Sign-Ad and Hi-Stat, which are used by most of the fast food restaurant chains for point-of-purchase advertising. Other products include a pressure-sensitive vinyls, polyesters, acetates, metallized films, overlaminating films, barrier films, walk-on-graphics and digital media.
