The Aurora High School is a part of the Aurora Public School District and has more than 300 students in grades 10 to 12 scheduled within an eight-period day. The school offers basic and advanced courses in mathematics, science, English and social studies and vocational education courses in agriculture education, industrial technology, business education and family and consumer sciences. The school also offers foreign languages, visual and performing arts including vocal and instrumental music, driver education and health and physical education electives. AHS operates ASCEND, an alternative education facility and curriculum designed for students experiencing unique challenges in the regular education setting. Activities available at the school include the A club, band, chorus, drama club, future business leaders of America club, future farmers of America club, future problem solvers club, journalism club, music club, national honor society and various athletic teams. The school is in Aurora, Neb.
