About Our Railings For more than 20 years, Porterbilt has been hand crafting log railings. We take pride in offering the highest quality materials, craftsmanship and service to our customers. All railings are built from lodge pole pine with 15 % or less moisture content and meet UBC building codes 509 and 1003.3.3.6. We custom build all railings from measurements submitted from drawings or blue prints. Our railings are built and pre-assembled at our site in Hamilton, Montana, and can be shipped anywhere in the world. We can supply you with samples of our wood upon request. Porterbilt is located in the heart of the Log Home Capital of the World. We are a producer and supplier of railings for some of the leading log home producers in the United States. We have custom built railings for many million dollar projects in the country like, the Busch Gardens in Virginia, Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, Wilderness Hotels in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and College of the Ozarks in Missouri. It is important that your railings, whether they be interior or exterior, be preserved. You can visit the Forest Products Lab website to find out information on finishes for wood at:
