The Office of the Lieutenant Governor is a part of the Office of the Governor, which is administered by the state government of Montana. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor performs duties prescribed by law and those delegated by the Office of the Governor. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor coordinates various councils and boards, including the Corrections Advisory Council Drought, Advisory Committee and Council and Homelessness. It also administers the MaryRehabilitation Working Group, which has been formed to rehabilitate the St. Mary Facilities of the Milk River Project. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor additionally heads the Montana-Canadian Provinces Relations Advisory Council, which aims to facilitate open dialogues, promote closer relations and further the exchange of information with government officials of various Canadian provinces.
