Birch Creek Music Performance Center is an elite summer music academy located in Door County, Wisconsin. With a focus on performance-based instruction, Birch Creek immerses promising young musicians in a professional, mentoring environment. Students from across the United States and other countries attend the academy, where they receive intensive training from a faculty of professional musicians who teach and perform at renowned music schools. Birch Creek offers sessions in percussion, steel pan world music symphony, and big band jazz, presenting over 30 concerts in the historic Dutton Barn and hosting outreach concerts throughout the season.
Birch Creek is committed to providing access to every eligible student, with over half of academy students receiving partial scholarships funded by generous donors. By investing in the scholarship program, supporters are helping to change the lives of future professional musicians. Many Birch Creek alumni go on to pursue careers in music, becoming performing musicians and teachers.
