Domestic Violence and Emergency Services is a program that includes safe shelter, crisis counseling and support services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Its services include 24-hour crisis line, peer counseling, support groups, and legal, personal and medical advocacy. It also includes in-house licensed therapists and referrals to community resources. The program is provided at Missoula, Mont. Domestic Violence and Emergency Services program is supported by the YWCA Missoula, which also supports a transitional housing program that is an independent living program for homeless women and their children. The program includes housing on a sliding fee scale, monthly support service funds, life skills instructions and case management. In addition, the YWCA Missoula supports programs for women s empowerment.
