University City High School serves students in grades nine through 12. Its academic curriculum includes business studies, English, family and consumer sciences, foreign languages, industrial technology, mathematics, performing arts and science. Additionally, it offers courses in visual arts, reading, health, social studies, science, and special and physical education. The school, located in University City, Mo., also provides vocational and technical courses in several areas, such as business technology, travel and tourism, dental assistance, commercial art, law enforcement, plumbing, masonry, computer information systems, cosmetology and laboratory technologies. Its athletic curriculum includes cross country, softball, tennis, soccer, swimming, volleyball, hockey, wrestling, basketball, golf, water polo, and track and field. University City High School also operates a variety of student activities that include the National Honor Society, audiovisual club, band, blood drive committee, Amnesty International, American Field Service, circle of friends, business competition and math competition team.
