Eden Theological Seminary, established in 1850, is a residential graduate school offering degree and diploma courses to women and men for ordained and lay Christian ministry. It offers a Bible-based curriculum in philosophy, theology, spirituality and religious studies, and prepares students to become members of the clergy. The services offered by the seminary include counseling, evangelism, leadership and spiritual development groups, chapel services model and planned spiritual renewal retreats. It provides personal and family counseling, placement support, career planning and financial scholarship to students. The extracurricular activities offered by the seminary include debates, quiet conversations, and softball and youth programs. It also has a student council that assists in curriculum changes, chapel preparation, library development, fireside chats, retreats and other areas of seminary development. Eden Theological Seminary is located in Webster Groves, Mo.
