Joplin Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) is a highly successful program that consistently surpasses federal targets for students entering post-secondary education and employment. With an average of 235 students per year, AEL helps individuals achieve their personal, educational, and career goals by providing comprehensive instruction in reading, math, and writing, resulting in grade-level progression on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
Located in the heart of downtown Joplin, AEL offers transportation accessibility and prepares over 75 students annually for the HiSET high school equivalency examination. Additionally, AEL assists numerous individuals in passing various tests such as the NCRC, ASVAB, CAST, ACT, SAT, and TEAS, while also helping English language learners improve their mastery of the English language.
