When the opportunity to buy presented itself, my family seized it without hesitation, I transitioned from manager to owner in 2021, and "O The World" was established atop the foundation of what once was the Omaha Tropical Market Raytown. Our journey is fueled by the recognition of Indigenous food not merely as consumables but as the cultural backbone of communities. We are driven by the mission to ensure a steady supply chain of popular food items from African, Caribbean, Asian, and Hispanic/Latino origins to meet the burgeoning demand of an increasingly diverse immigrant population. My vision is to bridge the gap between cultures by bringing the world closer, ensuring that no one needs to drive more than 30 min. to find a taste of home.
