Welcome to MPCDD Website The Missouri Planning Council for Developmental Disabilities is a federally funded, 23-member council, appointed by the Governor. Our mission is to assist the community to include all people with developmental disabilities in every aspect of life." Learn More Five-Year Plan Development The Missouri Planning Council for Developmental Disabilities is required by federal law to develop a five-year plan to guide our efforts in planning, advocacy, and providing advice as to programs and services for persons with developmental disabilities that will increase their opportunities for self-determination, independence, productivity, and integration into communities. We are beginning this process by collecting input through a comprehensive survey of Missourians with developmental disabilities, family members and others who provide their supports. This information will then assist the Council in completing a comprehensive review and analysis of the unmet needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. In order to truly understand the needs of Missouri citizens, we need to hear from people like you. If you would like to tell us about your needs, the needs of your family member, or of those who you serve, please complete this survey. It will take 10-20 minutes to complete and is strictly voluntary. No names will be used in reporting data. Only summary information will be reported. We appreciate your interest in helping us. This Year's theme for National Disability Employment Awareness Month is "Talent Has No Boundaries". This effort is spearheaded by the Office of Disability Employment Policy ( ODEP ), US Department of Labor, with the goal to reach out to businesses and community members to emphasize the important contributions and value of persons with disabilities in the workplace.
