Started in 1963, Litzsinger School provides educational opportunities for more than 125 students who are between the ages of 5 and 14. The school offers a range of physical and occupational therapies, as well as speech and language services. It serves children with disabilities. In addition, Litzsinger School provides special education classes for gifted and talented students. The school organizes workshops, picnics and family night events. It also hosts carnivals, arts and crafts activities, and dance and music programs. Litzsinger School serves breakfast and lunch, as well as operates a parent-teacher committee. The school is a part of the Special School District of St. Louis County.
