History
John G's Tap Room, Home of Augusta Brewing Company is a restaurant located in the old Droege Supermarket established in 1893 in historical Downtown Washington Missouri. The store was built by John G. Droege in 1893, then passed on to his son John M. Droege, then to his son John J. Droege and finally to John D. Droege. In April 2011 John D. (Butch) Droege closed the family business after 144 years. The old grocery store was then transformed into a Tap Room (restaurant), banquet hall, and micro brewery established in the building in July 2012.
