The Guadalupe Center is a private, nonprofit society that strengthens families and prevents child abuse through child welfare and mental health maintenance services and public advocacy. Founded in 1919, the Guadalupe Center serves the individual needs of infants, children, adolescents and their families throughout Missouri. It offers child abuse and intervention programs, mental health treatment and adoption services. In addition, the Guadalupe Center offers day care and after-school programs. The organization employs a full-time social worker who provides individual and group therapy for children. It maintains a location in Kansas City, Mo.
