Edward Jones Dome is a stadium located in St. Louis, Missouri. Edward Jones Dome currently houses the NFL team the St. Louis Rams. The stadium opened as Trans World Dome on November 15, 1995 with the construction taking just over a three and a half years at a cost of just over $280 million, $422 million in present day dollars. In 2006 Edward Jones acquired the stadium’s naming rights. It was built to bring the team back to St. Louis.
The St. Louis Rams are one time Super Bowl Champions and are members of the West Division of the National Football Conference within the NFL. They are known by their team colors consisting of dark blue, gold and white. The current owner of the St. Louis Rams is Stan Kroenke.
The stadium currently holds 66,000 fans. There are 120 luxury suites and over 6,400 seats at the club level. Currently, it was the 25th largest stadium in the NFL. Edward Jones Dome is also a great venue for concerts and has hosted such musicians as U2, ‘N Sync and Metallica. It also has hosted professional soccer, college basketball, college football games and various religious conferences.
